Okay, new journal coz the other one is depressing. Let's talk about games.

So, I've started playing through some Xbox games, namely Psychonauts and Jade Empire, and Legacy of Kain is probably next. Return of the King was also played, but I've played that before, and it's still cool.

Psychonauts... I've wanted to play this game for quite a while. It's kinda a mix between Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank; it's a collection game with assorted weapons with a kind of Invader Zim feel to it, which is probably because Zim's voice actor is the main character's voice. I liked it because it made me giggle. I had problems with some of the collectibles (finding what are approximately neon figures in a disco dance club is nigh impossible...), some of the voices got on my nerves *cough*Tara Strong*cough*, and there is a point of no return which left me at the end with 99 out of 100 ranks /sob. It's also really hard to find a copy of the game in this day and age. All in all, worth the effort and I look forward to the day when I play it again.

Jade Empire was delightful. I hear it's just like Knights of the Old Republic, but in a China-esque place with kung-fu powers instead of in Star Wars with Jedi powers. You can be a gentle, 'violence isn't the answer' follower of the Open Palm philosophy, or a meany-face jerk of Closed Fist follower and just kill people to solve all your problems. The martial arts are cool, your friends are mostly cool, and your enemies are mean and deserve all the beatings you give them. Bad points, it was fairly easy on normal except for a couple of bosses (until I discovered L33T H4X form), and I ended up with some items that I never figured out what they were for...

There was also some Fable, but I'm sure anyone who's reading this with interest knows what it is, so I won't discuss it. It also kinda went the way of Zelda with me, meaning I played it, got into it, got somewhere near the end, and just dropped it. I think Psychonauts arriving in the mail had something to do with that.

I'm working on a few things at the moment, trying to come up with something to post. Nonetheless, I'm still mostly goofing off, so please forgive me, people who expect me to do stuff!
